Ok. Some time ago I linked a Yamaha DGX 300 midi out to the Delta's midi in. Everything was working perfect. After some time is was getting problems, the midi in light was flashing continuously and I wasn't able to use the midi in anymore. I tried to plug in another Midi controller, but have been experiencing the same problem with it. I checked the Midi cable and everything was ok. After that i monitored the Delta 1010 midi input and i was getting this:
00031CC2 2 -- E0 00 00 1 --- Pitch Bend
00031CC2 2 -- E0 00 00 1 --- Pitch Bend
00031CC2 2 -- E0 00 00 1 --- Pitch Bend
00031CC2 2 -- E0 00 00 1 --- Pitch Bend
00031CC4 2 -- E0 00 00 1 --- Pitch Bend
Many, many times per second. I think I've tried everything. Is there any way I can fix this?

I've never seen anything like that before. What was the other keyboard you tested? Have you tried re-installing the Delta drivers? Can you monitor your keyboards MIDI output through a different MIDI interface to make sure the problem is in fact coming from the Delta card?

Can you also please provide more information about your system as requested in this thread (http://forums.m-audio.com/showthread.php?t=14).

The other keyboard is a brandless 4 octave midi controller. It has a midi out and usb mode. When I connect the midi out to the Delta's midi in I have the same problem, but when I use the usb cable and driver everything works perfect. So the problem seems to be coming from the Delta. I have reinstalled the Delta 1010 drivers and also updated them to version 5.10.0.5069. The system information you requested is in my signature.

What program are you using to monitor the MIDI input? If you disconnect the MIDI cables from the 1010, do you still get the pitch bend messages?

A few more questions to tie this all together...

How did you verify that the MIDI cable is good? Did you try another cable altogether?

Is the MIDI IN LED lit solidly while you are seeing all of that Pitch Bend data from your generic keyboard controller?

Do you see this same stream from the Yamaha DGX 300?

I'm using MIDI OX for monitoring. When I disconnect the cable the messages stop. Yes, the MIDI IN LED is lit solidly when I see the data. I have this problem with the DGX 300 as well as with the generic controller, it's exactly the same stream. Sometimes I see other data though, lots of note off data in the same way. Again both keyboards do this. I haven't tried another cable because I don't have one, I just disassembled the cable plugs to see if everything was alright, which was the case.

this is a simple case of the pitch wheel on your keyboard sending continuous data because it either needs replacing or the pot needs cleaning. try a bit of contact cleaner on the pitch wheel..
