Hello all
I'm wondering if there's an estimate on when a public beta of the vista 64 driver for the Delta series will be released.
Also, if theres anyway to be notified by email of that.
Thanks!

barret77,
I hesitate to give exact dates but you're more than welcome to the most recent build currently in testing on our private forum. We do require that you sign a non-disclosure form since it's officially a development project.
Please pass along your system specs at:

Hi Barret77,
We had a meeting about this today and engineering estimate that we need 2 months to complete the Vista 64 program. So 1st September latest is current estimate.
We will be publishing an FAQ with this information early next week.

Ohh Thank Goodness. I have been Waiting for Drivers Since Vista 64 came out. And I applied for the beta, but never got in :(... I love my 2496 card, and I cant wait to run it on a 64 bit system. Thank you for the good news though :)

It's crazy that m-audio hasn't released even a public beta for Vista 64. How very disappointing. Most other manufacturers have done this a long time ago. I hope this isn't a sign of the inferior driver development to come.

I submitted the app to get the Vista 64 drivers a few weeks ago, and never heard anything. Can someone do something about this here?

I've also submitted my beta application and would appreciate quick acceptance into the program, please.

Friends,
As of 11:13 AM PST, all 5399 users who have applied for the beta program have been issued a User Knowledge Quiz or a Non-Disclosure Agreement. Please be sure to check you bulk mail folder. If you have returned an NDA and have not been issued a login to the private forum it is because:
*Your NDA was not faxed to the correct number.
*Your NDA was not emailed to the correct address.
*Your NDA was returned but your name or email was not printed legibly
-- in this case it would have been orphaned.
*Your NDA was returned but you used a name or email that was not the name or email you used to sign up for the beta. I see this a lot with Richard/Rick Michael/Mike, Robert/Bob etc. Usually I figure it out but doing this will cause a delay in processing your documents.
*We are not conducting a beta project that requires your device or OS. Sorry, but those are the breaks.
I will always try to contact you as soon as I can with as much info as I can. As usual I can be reached at beta_admin@m-audio.com
Be civil.
Thanks!

Hi Barret77,

Tomorrow is September 1st. After years of delays, I'm expecting everything that M-Audio to be saying to be BS aimed at placating those of us power users who have 4 to 8 gb of ram + 64bit processors and want to use Vista x64. There will be no released driver tomorrow or even the next week. Not even a public beta. Obviously, M-Audio has lost their competitive edge a long time ago.

...I leave M-Audio.
Waiting for 64 bit Vista Driver takes too long time. (over 1 year)
My new card are next days coming.
None wait more and no wrong promises.

Hi
Is there a new estimate for the public beta of the vista 64 delta series?
A real one now?
Or at least a way to be notified by e-mail when it comes out?

I'm officially done with M-Audio too.
EVERY OTHER MANUFACTURER has 64-Bit VISTA DRIVERS
And they aren't BETAs either.
I will never recommend any of your products, and will personally go out of my way to discourage any future/potential customers.
In a way I should thank you guys for being the slackers that you are, because it gave me the opportunity to shop around and find BETTER interfaces with BETTER customer support and drivers.
So thanks...

If you subscribe to the 64-bit driver thread at the top of the Delta Series forum you can set it to receive an email when a new post is made. This is the thread I'll post in when the drivers are released for download. At the moment I'm working with Engineering to try and move up the release schedule for the Delta drivers. I don't have any dates yet.

I'm gob smacked. The driver release has gone from '1st September', to the 'end of September', to 'we don't know'. I think it's quite clear to all of us that you don't know!!!! I'm glad I got the leaked driver or I think I would be very  at this point. I'm amazed companies lie M-Audio continue to operate with such a lack of ability. Had I 'ever seen a man eat his own head', I truly would have seen it ALL by now!!! LOL!

I have been a Avid and patient Fan of M-Auadio for years now...
No more.
You have 2 weeks, to release the Audiophile 2496 vista 64 drivers, or I am going to the the Echo Mia platform, I dont want too and I am not happy about replacing good hardware, but in 2 weeks I have the funding, and I am making the switch to a 64 bit platform.
I applied for the beta I got no responce.
I make money with my system, editing and doing VO/AD work, You may not think this card important enough to maintain, if so you need to let us know, because I will move on with out you.
I have waited for over a year now.
I will not wait any longer than 2 weeks.

M-Audio's incompotence amazes me. There's been a ton of people BEGGING them to just release whatever driver they have completed thus far so they can atleast have SOMETHING to use. I think maybe they don't have any programmers and they are dealing with some outsourced agency in india.
Any normal person in charge would have been like "oh no, we are making our customers mad, let's just release what we have as a public beta to please them for now"..
But no.. instead, M-Audio gives us NOTHING but lipservice.

Man...the ill will M-Audio has generated over this issue is monumental.
I think I'll pile on:
I'm done with M-Audio. I'm tired of waiting. Enough is enough.
I'm joining the "two-week" bandwagon: Two week from now, if I don't have a Vista64 driver for my Delta card, I'm Ebaying it and moving on to Echo or Edirol.
