I just purchased Session yesterday and I cannot upgrade to 1.6.3. I have the Producer USB attached and 1.5 installed. When I run the update software I get an error saying that no version of Session Updater is installed. I am on Windows XP SP3 now....I have tried this with and without SP3 installed...I also just upgrade to the latest Producer drivers for SP3 and that did not help...

Any ideas on how to get the update to work?

The Session 1.6.3 update will not install on SP3 at this time.
You must remove SP3 to install the update.
Once SP3 is removed, I recommend downloading the
update, then installing it. Its best to not run the update from the site.

I tried that and it still didn't install...it says it can not detect a previous version installed...Anything else I can try?

We have had a few reports of this issue. Please send me a private message with your full name and mailing address and I can send you a Session 1.6 DVD; re-installing Session with this should allow you to successfully update to 1.6.3.

I bought KeyStudio in March of last year, and just updated Session to 1.6.3. It now fails to start, saying that the application is configured incorrectly, and that reinstallation may help (while taking me back to 1.0, of course :P).

What do I do?

Can you please provide your system specs as requested in this thread (http://forums.m-audio.com/showthread.php?t=57); this information will help us troubleshoot your issue. Do you have Vista or XP? Which Service Pack?

Can you post a screen shot of the error?

I'm running XP MCE SP2, but I solved the problem. I just needed to install the latest version of the Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable files.
