I've purchased Session KeyStudio and have Windows XP.
In the instructions, it says to plug in the keyboard and the usb and then turn the keyboard on. Then it says to insert the session installer dvd. I do so and this message appears:
"We were unable to install the M-Audio Session...
Your computer's operating system is not supported for use with the Session at this time.
Please see..."
So I visited the website and it says that the solution is to download the Session 1.6.3 from the website.
So I did and with the same process it says the same thing:
" Your computer's operating system is not supported for use with the Session 1.6.3 at this time. "
I can't install Session 1.6.3 or 1.6. What seems to be the problem and how can this be fixed?
Thanks,
Session

Hi Session,
Sorry to here you're having trouble.
First things first, you are running windows XP SP2 or SP3 correct?. . and you have the far more common 32-bit version of XP, not the 64-bit version of XP, correct?

I'm not sure if I'm running windows XP SP2 or SP3
I just know that I have Windows XP. How can I check those?
Color quality in display properties is 32 bit.
I have windows automatic updates.
I think I've tried downloading a windows service pack update some time ago but it didn't allow me.
This FAQ (http://www.m-audio.com/index.php?do=support.faq&ID=a45243ee9670e20f531d1a41913e1a92) will show you how to check your OS Version and Service Pack.

This most likely means that you have no service pack installed. You have to have at least Service Pack 2 installed to run Session. The message Session is giving you when you try to install is correct.

Is there any windows alternative operating systems that this software can install on? For example, will it install on Linux or open office? Or is the windows platform this software is only made for?
Thanks,
Session

Hi Session,
Windows XP Home or Pro, and Windows Vista are the only two OSs that Session will run on.
