Analog Recording Levels

I installed my AP 2496 today, and I have worked my way through most of it. The monitor mixer still has be confused, but I don't think I need it right know.

I am trying to record with the analog line in from a Harman/Kardon PM655Vxi integrated amplifier, and using Audacity 1.3 as the recording software. With the previous sound board (C-media, on board), the Audacity Line-in level slider was quite low . With AP 2496, the slider is maxed out, and the recording level still seems low.

Am I missing something with the adjustment of the line in adjustment ?

There is no input gain control on the 24/96; you would either need to turn up the level at the source, or you can normalize the audio after recording. The volume sliders on the Monitor Mixer tab control output levels for input monitoring and playback.
