I purchased the Session Music Producer package this weekend and it came with Session version 1.5. I have been trying for the past day to download the Session 1.6.3 update because I have XP with SP3 installed. The download begins but always freezes around 18-20 MB and then eventually times out. Not sure how to proceed.
Also, do I need to update all the drivers if I am running SP3? I was able to connect the microphone with drivers on the included DVD so I was not sure what is best.

I was finally able to download the Session Update but it keeps crashing during install. I've followed the directions several times but an error keeps coming up. I believe the issue is with the extra content. I say this because I am able to install just the Session software without the content. I thought this was fine since it said I can just use the DVD, but when I launch Session, it can’t find the content files, even when I select the DVD drive. Next, I tired to manually load the files onto my C drive and that failed as well. The common denominator seems to be the Ctry 1 Piano P9(Out+End).wav file. The error message says XCopyFile failed. This .wav was also the last file to copy before my manual copy failed.
As stated above, I have XP Pro with SP3 and Session 1.5 DVD. Please help!
It sounds like you may have a bad DVD. Send me a PM with your name and address and I can send you a new DVD.

I too have the same problem Windows XP, SP-2. I could download the latest, but during installation, error message appears 'earlier verison of session is not found' and it closes. The existing version 1.5 is working fine. Do I need to uninstall it before trying with 1.6? Please help ASAP..
