Just curious, does this beta driver only address latency issues for the profire series in OSX?

Nah. I hardly ever boot into OSX. Although, I figure if there were other things it was addressing I could help test it out. I'll still give it a whirl next time I boot into OSX just to comment on whether the install goes smoothly / error free.

Sorry for double posting...

No problems with the installation, but the mixer application eats up CPU a lot!
First I was confused why my notebook fans a running at full speed when Pro Tools or Ableton Live are "idle" - it never did before - I watched the CPU meter and it was by about 80%, when I closed the Profire Mixer application the CPU meter dropped down to 30% or so.

Install was smooth. I haven't noticed any difference in performance at any latency settings under Pro Tools.

So after a fresh install and update of OSX (10.5.5), I didn't notice any different in performance in Pro Tools (or any daw)

I too noticed that the CP mixer seemed to eat CPU. In addition to that, the CPU mixer seemed laggy.

I would like to further investigate this new beta driver, but I am curious as to what exactly it was addressing, so I can compare it directly to the previous official release. Anyone?

I have a problem with my ProFire 610... help me please!!!
I use Mac OS 10.5.5 in Mac Mini Intel 1.66 and my Pro Tools M-powered dont recognize the ProFIre interface. The control Panel show all chanels (in and out) but dont have comunication with Pro Tools softwear...
Escuse-me... my english its no good... but please I need your help!!!
