1010LT recording mono

Hi, I just got a 1010LT. I have a tube preamp and from the I have a 1/4 inch to rca stereo cable. I have it in the 3/4 in but on the left channel is getting sound. I'm just wondering how to record stereo.

What are you recording? Is it a mono or stereo signal?

If you are recording a vocal, It's going to be mono. Left or Right side only,

If you are recording the left and right outputs of a drum machine or keyboard that has on board sounds it will show up stereo.

If you are recording a mono signal, you will get the results you are currently seeing.

Sounds like your y-cable is splitting a stereo signal to two RCA jacks, but you're only putting a mono signal into it and getting signal only to one of the 2 RCA jacks. You shouldn't need to send a mono signal to 2 inputs, just send to one and make sure that it is panned to center in the Delta control panel (so that you hear it in both speakers/headphones) and make sure it is set to a mono track in your audio app so that it goes to both speakers. Then you should be able to pan as desired in your audio app.
