Hi

Delta 410
Windows XP SP2
Intel Pentium4 3.00 GHZ 1gig Ram
Latest Driver installed Delta_V32_5.10.00.5069v3.exe
Soundforge/Audacity/Protools

I am trying to output the spdif signal to a TC Electronic Finalizer Express.
The SPDIF output in the control panel is showing plenty of level.
SPDIF output source set to mixer. (have tryed sw rtn as well...no difference).

SPDIF sync source set to internal.

The Finalizer express does not seem to receive any signal and cannot lock to incoming clock.

Cables are fine and i have performed self test on the finaliser which shows no problems with SPDIF.

any suggestions?

thanks

Ripley

Have you used the S/PDIF output before? Your settings sound right for the S/PDIF output; sw rtn should feed straight through, and mixer should work if the levels are turned up in the monitor mixer. It could possibly be a bad breakout cable. How long have you owned the 410? Does the S/PDIF input on the card work?

Hi

I'm not sure that i have used the SPDIF output before. I usually use all the audio connections which are fine.
The SPDIF connections are on the card itself so the breakout cable is not an issue.
SPDIF input would appear to be fine as I can set the card to sync to external spdif and it syncs up with the Finaliser. So its just the output which appears not to be working even though I can see activity on the control panel.
I have had the card for 2 or 3 years I guess.

It's sounding like the problem is with the 410. Is the Finalizer the only device you have to test with? You could contact tech support to arrange to send the device in for repair.
