I have a delta 2496 with a preamp before this and when i monitor my miked amp it's showing a good level coming into the mixer in Cubase before recording.When i listen back to the recorded sound it's barely audible?I seem to have the same problem when i use Guitar Rig within Cubase,if i listen to a great guitar sound by monitoring it before recording,i then loose a lot of the distorted guitar sound i heard and all i get after recording sounds like a clean guitar but with a little distortion?Im using a preamp to boost the mic so i don't know why im not getting a level on my recorded sound?Unlike most others i like to hear and record my tracks wet(effect on while i record)and not adding effects after,this has always worked for me.Anyone help?I know it's a silly thing im doing,i've just come back to recording after a couple of years break and i know its just a level adjustment thing i need to do somewhere?
