hi, im running windows xp,SP2 and i have a 2496 for a few months now..sounds all working alright but i realized that i have a problem when i wanted to record an audio stream from the net or record anything that is playing on the 2496 sound card itself through adobe audition..when i go to windows recording mixer under their options..a pop up came out and displaying.."There is a problem with your soundcard. To install mixer devices, please go to control panel etc.." it will prompt me to check..so i went to start->program->accessories->entertainment->volume control->properties..i find that under the recording tab..there is nothing at all..like if u go to playback..it will display wave/sw synth/cd player..but theres no option under recording..blank..so i went to control panel->Sound & Audio devices then click the Audio tab..under the sound recording..i cant select anything..what went wrong and what should i do?
2nd problem, the sound came out opposite..as in if i pan my sound to the left in adobe audition...it will come out on the right speaker..if i pan to the right..it will be the other way round too..i thought adobe screwed..so i tried on windows media player and even the volume control that i select from the start menu...still the same thing..by the way, im using an adapter that has two male rca which is connected to the two output of 2496 and the end of the adapter is a jack which i connect my speakers/headphone to. So is it my adapter or is it the driver of the 2496?
I'm confuse by this whole settings..and disappointed and frustrated that i can't work this thing out..sorry to put it in a long way as i got no one else to turn to plus i just need to get my point across..i really do..
Thankx in advance :)
