AP 192, No Sound from main outs

I get sound from the analog outs 1/2. but i dont get any sound at all from the main outs L/R. That is totally weird. I have the s/pdif connected to my tascam fw-1082 hardware controller/interface. could the s/pdif be interrupting the main outs 1/2? could it be a hardware issue where those outputs just died on my for some reason? I'm totally confused :confused:

i've gone thru just about every configuration with the sound card monitor mixer software, all faders are up, nothing is muted or soloed. there is just no signal what so ever coming out of the main outs. but there is a signal coming from the other analog outs on the soundcard. i dont get it.

The main output only playback back audio from the computer (from software); the monitor output outputs from the Monitor Mixer which includes the hardware inputs and software returns. In order to monitor your S/PDIF input through the main outputs as well, you need to have software routing that input to the analog outputs. What software are you using?

Thanks for the help. I actually got it working now. I think the ap 192 was conflicting with my fw-1082 audio interface becauase they were both acting weird. I was actually playing audio from the software when i realized that i wasn't hearing anything from the main outs. then the analog outs went out as well. so i figured it may be conflicting with the other non-maudio interface being that its 2 different manufacturers. so i uninstalled the other interface from my pc, and the m-audio interface began working like it was supposed to with all my outputs outputting audio. yaaaaye! i then re-installed my other interface and everything is working like a charm. but just to understand a bit more how the card works, i have a question:

are u using the term "monitor output" interchangibly with "analog outputs"?
are u using the term "software returns" interchangibly with "audio coming from my pc/software"?

There are 4 analog outputs (2 stereo pairs); one output pair is labeled Mon Out (Monitor), the other Main Out.

Yes, when I say software return I'm referring to audio coming from your pc/software.
