direct monitoring with audiophile 2496

is it possible to get direct monitoring of the inputs while using cool edit pro and this soundcard? i followed the cool edit setup that i got from this website, but it directed me to my user manual for direct monitoring, and my user manual says nothing about it. can someone please give me some insight on this? thanks.

What version of XP and Service Pack are you running (e.g. XP Home SP2)?

Depending on the OS and driver the control panel is different. You can directly monitor your inputs by setting the output source for outputs 1/2 to the monitor mixer (Patchbay/Router Tab or Output Tab depending on the driver).
