I use windows XP SP2 and downloaded the latest drivers , once I installed the Delta 44 card and tried to install the drivers the pc shows there is a delta 66? once the driver is installed is gives a error that states there is no active delta hardware installed. The drivers that came with the card don't work at all. Pls help. anton.vanwyk@yahoo.com
On the Delta PCI card, are there RCA connectors in addition to the 15pin connector for the breakout cable? Right-click the Delta entry in the Device Manager and go to the Details Tab, select "Hardware IDs" from the drop down; what appears there?
Was this card working previously? Did you run the driver installer before installing the PCI card?

There are no RCA connectors , I did a formant of my PC and installed the latest drivers for SP2 off the M-AUDIO web page. I also get a dpInterfacefailed error and then a message that says there is presently no Delta hardware active in this system. This is a brand new card out the box.
Installed the driver and then installed the card.
Do you have any virus protection/firewall software disabled? Do you have access to another computer to test the Delta 44 in? The problem is either the card or how it's interacting with your motherboard.

Well , after a long struggle the card is working. Not in my pc it seems. What is the best chipset for the delta 44? I have a gigabyte s3 intel p35 with a core 2 duo E6600 2 gig RAM.
