Hello,
I just received the Session Keystudio 49 package, with Session, the keyboard and the MicroUSB. I cannot get the keyboard the make any sound, and in Windows (or when playing an mp3 for example) the sound crackles. I have Windows XP SP3, and installed the latest driver for the MicroUSB and downloaded the latest installer for Session. I disabled my PCI sound card and tried different USB ports (for the keyboard and the MicroUSB interface), and disabled USB power management, and still have these problems. Also, if I uninstall the MicroUSB and re-enable my PCI sound card, the crackling within Windows goes away.
Other details:
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 3500+
1 GB RAM

In Session, is the keyboard recognized as a MIDI input device? Can you test the keyboard with MIDI-OX (http://www.m-audio.com/index.php?do=support.faq&ID=1d45c0102bde3d9bffb19c0056d9b171) to see if it's sending MIDI into the computer?

Thanks for getting back to me (and for moving this to the most appropriate forum).
Regarding the first link on the crackling sound...I have the latest MicroUSB driver; I've tried every USB port (no hub); As far as buffer size, is that the latency setting? I just tried that and I get this error message: "A device attached to the system is not functioning"; In the IRQ settings, each USB host controller is on the same PCI number (19), and they are the only things on 19.
I just tried MIDI-OX, and right when I run it I get this message: "There are no MIDI input devices".
At least we're troubleshooting...

UPDATE: It seems as though the drivers are working now as I get keyboard audio in Session. However, the sound crackling still remains. Any other ideas?
Thanks!

Further update:
I think everything is working now. I had to uninstall the MicroUSB interface and go back to using my sound card. Then in Session I used Asio4all drivers and changed the buffer size until there was no more crackling.
