Hello,
I bought a 2496 new in the box from an individual probably over a year ago. Eventually the sound on the right output would have static in it until one day it just stopped working.
My friend gave me a 410 so I just used the outputs of it and keep the 2496 for inputs. However, I would like to solve this problem. All along I have suspected that it was a bad capacitor in the output so today I changed the final 2 electrolytics at the output stage and the problem persists.
The output mixer shows that sound is going out of channel 2 so I assumed the issue was in the analog stage, but if it is, then I guess there is nothing else I can do since I am not set up to do surface mount soldering.
Is this issue common? I see others have issues of dying outputs, but they also have the breakout cable. 2496 just has jacks and they look good to me. I tried to search but didn't come up with a similar situation.
Any suggestions or am I stuck with only one output?
