Ever since I installed my AP192 sound card, my display no longer goes into standby mode after the desired time has expired (only when using XP SP2). I've tried 3 different driver releases but to no avail (Delta_V32_5.10.00.5065, Delta_WDM_5.10.00.5057v3 and the latest Delta_V32_5.10.00.5069v2). All the drivers that were made available yield the same result with the display failing to suspend after "**" minutes of no activity. I found the only way to get the screen saver to work properly is to kill the m-audio process, turn the monitor off or log off the computer.

My hardware is as follows:
Tyan Thunder K8W
AMD Opteron 280 (2.4Ghz/dual core)
4GB DDR 400
Nvidia 6800 AGP
3ware 9500S Raid 5 Controller
NEC USB 2.0 controller
M-Audio Audiophile 192
OS: Dual boot Fedora Core 8 & XP SP2 (PAE mode enabled)

Any help in getting this resolved would be greatly appreciated.

We tested here and had no problem getting the screen saver to come on, or getting the computer to sleep and wake with the 192 installed.

I would suggest checking for BIOS and chipset updates for your motherboard.

The motherboard firmware (2.07b) and AMD chipset drivers are utilizing the latest software/firmware releases. Just recently I installed a new hard disk array on my system, consequently I had to reinstall both Linux and Windows. Even with a fresh install of windows, the screen saver(DPMS) bug is still present. When I uninstalled the delta drivers, the screen saver(DPMS) works just fine. However, after re-installing the device drivers, the bug presents itself again.

I just tested on another system and had no problems with the screen saver coming on or the monitor going to sleep. This test was on a system w/ an AMD DualCore Opteron 280 (2.4GHz) w/ a Tyan S2895 Motherboard. If you uninstall the Delta drivers, but leave the card installed, does the screen saver and monitor sleep work?
