I just purchased Session & Fast Track USB. Tried to install for Session 1.5 DVD, but got error message reading:
"Abort Installation
We were unable to install M-Audio Session on your computer.
Your computer's operating system is not supported with the Session at this time.
Check website for additional info and software updates."
So I downloaded lastest Fast Track USB drivers from M-Audio website, installed just fine. Fast Track USB is detected just fine, seems to be fully operational. Tried to install Session again, still get error message. Please advise.

I uninstalled SP3, re-installed Session 1.5 and it now works (kind of, pretty buggy). Now I'm wondering if I should reinstall SP3 though or if it will screw things up again.
Before updating to SP3, I would recommend updating Session to 1.6.3 (http://www.m-audio.com/?do=products.demo&demo_ID=Session163&form=1). If you continue to have problems, please be specific about what's happening.

I was similarly unsuccessful in installing Session version 1.6.3 on my new Vista laptop.
M-Audio customer service gave me wild suggestions: Try 1.6.3 first. If that doesn't work, remove SP1. Like I am going to trust that suggestion. Then they suggested I turn off Virus and Spam protectors on my system just for the installation.
Every other application that I had on my old machine (Windows XP + SP2) ported over to Vista without a problem.
Applications for my video camcorder, and other apps that need their own Codec ported over with no problem.
M-Audio is special. So I invested 4 hours, tinkered with various machines, including installing M-Audio on the old XP+SP2 machine. After the installation, I got a lot of static
in the recording. I have spent $600 in billable time trying to get a $99 piece of equipment to work. One of my more depressing experiences with consumer products.

I'm having the same problem. Session won't uninstall and I don't want to remove sp3 just to remove a buggy product. There must be a work-around

What version of Session do you have? Have you uninstalling from the DVD?
