I'm using the above card and was perfectly satisfied using it for games as well as a HTPC. I upgraded XP to SP3 as well as the new Delta drivers and Control Panel. With the previous CP I had it set up using WavOut S/PDIF setting under H/W Out S/PDIF. Everything worked great...ASIO in Foobar as well as passing the digital signal to my HTPC preamp which decoded it to the proper stream DTS..AC3..etc. The preamp is connected to the Delta via S/PDIF.
After installing ver 5.10.00.5069v3 I can't find a comparable setting as WavOut S/PDIF. To play music using ASIO I have to set the output to sw rtn then when watching a movie using my HTPC preamp I have to set it to Mixer. Even then I don't get a proper pass through to my preamp as its signal does not get decoded with the preamp's processors. Thus a DTS or AC3 signal simply comes out as a DD signal.
I've tried all sorts of combinations of settings within the new Control Panel with no success. I was even thinking of trying the new delta.sys driver with the older cpl file but thought it probably would screw up.
Am I stuck with the older drivers and Control Panel because the newer ones won't do what I want them to? I'd like to use the new driver since the older ones don't support some newer games.
