CF card problem!!

Got a new Microtrack II few days ago, and tryed quite a few diferent cf with same result: - microtrack is unable to format it either on its own, or from the comp. After rebooting the firmware msg. is card is not formated pres nav...
cards are otherwise fine, and i can see a lot of users using same ones, so i'm kinda worried if all is fine with my piece. Please, don't mention firmware, obviously i was unable to reach that far! I tried Silicon image 200*, transcend 133*,Sundisk extreme III, few older kingstons, and some other. Is it about geting a super fast one, or what? Any help appreciated

What do you mean by "or from the comp..."? Do you mean you've tried formatting it via the computer? If so, how? External Reader or via MII plugged into the computer?

Both. If i try formating it with card reader, i can see that card is fine, but useless for fasttrack, but when i tryed formating it 'by the book' (with mtII pluged in) at the end of the format message is 'windows can't format this card, format not completed.' If i try to read it after this incomplete format in the reader, it shows that partition is raw.

It sounds to me like something really, really wrong. I would take it back to the dealer for another unit.
