Axiom 61 and Nuendo - triggering samples

Hi all, and thanks for reading!

I'm using Axiom 61 to control a few VST instruments via Nuendo 3. Now I'd like to be able to trigger audio samples (using Kontakt) with pressure pads, and need to do it independently of keys and other controlls. At the moment, pressing pad triggers sample, but also play note from whatever VST I have connected, and vice versa (playing keys can result in triggering samples).

Possible (elegant) solution:
When I want to assign midi input source on midi track in nuendo, there are two Axiom possibilities, so I hoped to use one for controlling most of the VSTis with keys, and the other for triggering samples from Kontakt with pressure pads. However, it seems that second axiom's output doesn't work.

Any help?

The second Axiom port is for the external MIDI input on the back of the Axiom; all MIDI data generated by the Axiom (keys, knobs, sliders, pads, buttons) is received on Port 1. You need to setup the track in Nuendo to receive on a specific MIDI channel. The keys default to transmitting on Channel 1, and the pads on Channel 10. If both the pads and keys are triggering both VSTi's, its because the tracks are receiving on all MIDI channels.

Huh, how do I do that? there are 'All midi inputs', 'In Audiophile USB' (my soundcard), and two Axiom's ports. I know how to setup output channel, but that's irrelevant.

I don't know, I've looked at Cubase and couldn't figure it out. You'll need to talk to Steinberg's tech support.
