I know this cards doesn't fit on a MAC but with extension boxes (PCIe to PCI) and other methods this cards can work on OSX but unfortunatelly we don't have drivers yet so this thread it for asking intel drivers in order to make your cards to work on intel.

I am another customer in need for universal drivers for the Delta series. I own a - now useless - audiophile 192.

Is there a reason those drivers are not compiled for intel-based macs? How hard can it be to compile a set of new .kext files? The installer and all the other stuff works on my mac. The knowledge to create universal binaries is apparently already there, half of the supporting software is universal. Only the .kext files give problems during startup: "not build for this architecture".

I do not expect any support for these drivers but i would like something to get my card working. Raw .kext files or, and this is wishfull thinking: the sourcecode for the driver so we can compile it ourselves.

Have you all learned nothing? lol, Its better to actually Buy an Apple and use it's built in audio :) otherwise buy all audio cards that are compatible with it... Going after PCIe to PCI expansion makes no sense :D m-Audio people are smart guys, you cannot expect them to be fools :D

M-Audio is not interested in making money, should be obvious to you all by now. Business cannot be mixed with emotions of users such as yourselves ;)

By the way is not true that only PCIe to PCI boxes exist, there also Risers for PCIe to PCI that are not that expensive look

There's also another thread with a guy that used this for his UAD card.

Guys bring us universal drivers for our cards.

+1, I've missed my Delta 66 it was a great little box, if that driver was available
sure I'd buy an adapter for PCI-E as posted above..please M-Audio, that's not
difficult for you, it's just a matter of recompile the driver code you already own!

I was disappointed that the driver wasn't universal or availble for intelmacs, as well. What's the deal, m-audio? I mistakenly assumed a pci-e - pci adapter would suffice. Will there be intelmac drivers for the delta series PCI cards? I know myself and many others would love them AND SO WOULD FUTURE BUYERS, as intelmacs are all the rage now.

Can we get confirmation from someone with M-Audio that there is no universal or intelmac drivers being developed for MacOSX and the Delta series cards?

Hi there.

For anyone who waiting for Mac Intel drivers...
Abandon all hope...

There is no point to ask big company look at their potential users...
I'll try to explane...

M-AUDIO look at almost 30 people who waiting for a miracle and think:
"There is to small amount of people for making drivers"

M-AUDIO are Big and mean heavy to making right decisions...
They do not care about how many users are waiting for this drivers
And people here it's like fan group who already bought sound card and hope fore a miracle (drivers)

They do not care about money because only stupid do not see that possibility to become #1 in companies making sound card.

Just say ... "This card will work wherever you want" and M-AUDIO will make Creative (another Big company making crap)

Dear M-AUDIO ... When I bought a pencil I must not thinking were I'll write... I'll must think which color I want... The same in sound cards... I must not think which operating system I'll use... I must know whatever I'll install this card will working...

So for all people here ... Abandon all hope...
Tomorrow I will get back this sound card to the market and give my money back...

Because I decide to use Mac OS (it's better more beautiful and stable system then Windows) (for games IMHO Sony Play Station 3) and for use Mac OS for office needs I'll start to keep money for Mac computer...

I think it the best way to fill all specter of pleasure by using Mac OS

bb everyone...

Don't feel too bad Intel Mac users, the drivers for PPC's do not work correctly and have not been corrected in the nearly 1 year that I have had an AP192.

I think tech support is afraid to respond to my issues which include no monitor outputs and the driver will not remember settings between boot ups.

I've dealt with poor service in the decades that I have been involved with electronic music but never to the level that I have received bad information that has wasted hours of my time.

Now that I need to do live audio on top of virtual orchestra, I need the product to work as designed.......it does not.

Last M-Audio product I will own.

Good news:

I'm not sure what this says about M-Audio, but some guy made his own drivers for the Envy 24 that also work for most of the Delta PCI cards:

http://www.audio-evolution.com/drivers/

I've done limited testing on version 0.7.0 and everything seems to work for the most part. Please donate to the developer.

+1 on audio-evolution.

drivers have been confirmed working on many Intel based Macs...

the guy who coded those drivers is a real master at what he did...if one man could do it, you'd think M-Audio could...or maybe even Avid as a whole.

I was hoping someone talented would do the drivers if M-Audio won't care about us.
It's very hard to understand the analogy of having no pci-e soundcards but no developing universal drivers either (which would of course work with PPC too)

My friend just bought a new Delta 1010LT, which is simply a brilliant card, hardware wise, but we were all pretty bummed out when we found out the drivers are only PPC mac and Windows Intel based. Its disappointing and troublesome using ProTools under windows.

Please write drivers for Intel based mac. My friend bought this card for the sole purpose of putting it in his new mac, and is now forced to put it into his old pc.

M-Audio can't make drivers so I dont know what good petitioning for them would be. It'll never happen. NEVER.

However, the good news is that some hobbyist programmer guy made some drivers that work great! Check out audio-evolution (dot) com/drivers - use the Envy 24 drivers. They work flawlessly for my Delta card in OSX 10.5.6.

The problem is the original driver not for intel
Envy24 does not work with spdif and midi

whatīs wrong with u M-auido???

I bought delta1010lt to work into a intel based mac too.... and when I found that there isnīt a driver I had to run Pro Tools in xp...which isnī good in xp.

So..... if a simple guy could do a driver for intel based mac... Why donīt u can???

That's just for plugging the card, but we still need OSX intel drivers in order to use them with Audiophiles and Deltas

yeah it shouldn't be hard for you guys to port it to intel-mac when you already have the drivers for ppc, Kindly release it soon.

Newer Apple Intel Mac computers are equipped with PCIe slots, and no longer support PCI cards in any native configuration. As a result, Avid M-Audio is unable to support our PCI-based interfaces on these systems. As a result we will not be releasing driver updates for these devices that specifically support Intel Mac systems

Yeah the same response as always, but just look RME and even your big brother Pro Tools, those PCI cards, have intel mac drivers, so I don't know if the driver department of M-Audio and Pro Tools is totally different but one thing is sure, you are not making a good reputation to your big brother, you should consider releasing drivers for intel macs since we are not asking how to fit a PCI card into a mac, we are just asking for the driver.

By the way I'm waiting for this PCIe ESI Maya 44e which will have mac osx intel drivers ranged at $150.
