delta 1010lt vs. 1010

I'm wondering if the 1010lt can to multitrack recording for protools or any such program. If not, would the 1010 work?

Yes, the 1010lt can record 8 analog inputs and a stereo SPDIF digtal input.

what i'm trying to get at is when recording would i just get a stereo mix from inputs being combined or are the inputs kept seperate and can keep the sources seperate?

They inputs are all discrete and can be recorded to separate tracks.
