G'day guy's,

I have this very annoying thing happening to me, if this is in another tread just shoot me, but I could'nt find it.
I have installed this Delta 1010LT PCI soundcard in my pc.
I would like to keep my system sounds to my desktop speakers and so the mic, for having this separate from my music editing and for my convienance.

Since I installed this Delta card in my pc, my onboard soundmax card has disappeard from my device manager list its, just gone.

when I take out the delta card the onboard does come back in the device manager list and does work again.

I had a look in the Bios, but since this model pc is equipped with this somehow simple bios version or whatsoever you may call it, I don't have any option to turn my onboard soundcard on or off
.
The delta card works fine, but how can I get my onboard back to life, I have read in the faq's that I should be able to have them both, the delta and the onboard working together.

I have tried all the pci slots, I have tried both the old driver form the CD and the new driver from the support desk.
Also I have deinstalled and reinstalled several times the whole lot.
Last thing I've tried tonight is this. I first deinstallated the delta software turned of the pc and took out the delta card.
checked if the onboard was back to life turned it off in the device list then refitted the delta turned on the pc reinstalled the software, and yes onboard gone again.

Who has a clou ????

I reckon there might be some tool needed to put the soundcards in the right order, the strange thing is, it seems like the pc recognizes the delta and decides for its own to turn of the onboard and even don't show it anymore.

I hope someone has some experience with this problem.

ps, motherboard Name: Lite-On NR146 Bios: AMI

It sounds like your motherboard only allows for 1 active sound card at a time. You may want to contact the manufacturer to see if there is a BIOS update available that would allow for this.
