Anyone using Studio 12 out there with a delta 1010LT… I convert vhs videos to a DVD thru the use of Pinnacle Studio 12. I had the creative sound cards but the sound of the audio portion was not the best…lot of buzz. So I purchased a Delta 1010LT. The problem is I can’t get any sound out of my VCR to the computer sound card. Sounds like a pre amp may be needed huh? But the Delta 1010 states it has a pre amp on the Mic inputs. I have looked and looked and I can’t find an input among the 10 that states mic. Which ones are they? Do I need a preamp? :o:cool:

It's the 2 XLR female plugs for the mic/line inputs.

Yeah it's the 2 XLR inputs. But in my experience, even a microphone overloads those inputs and is completely unusable, and audio out from a VCR would be even worse, unless you change the jumper on the card to Line Level. But I have done exactly what you are trying to do without any problems, using the line ins on the 1010LT. Just use a regular RCA cable to go from the audio out of your VCR to inputs 3 and 4 (or any other pair of RCA inputs) on the 1010LT card. Then in the Delta control panel make sure all your inputs are going to your Mix Out, and your outputs 1 and 2 are playing the mix out. Then in Pinnacle you may have to select the M-Audio card as your input and you may have to specify the Delta Mix Out as your input signal or something like that
