Hi everyone!

I have got a problem with my new AP 192 and I don't know if it's a hardware (motherboard) problem or not.

When I first tried to install I got the message "device cannot be started" (code10). After trying different things it eventually worked (don't know why), but only once. I reset my BIOS and tried to reinstall it. Now my PC doesn't recognize it (which also happened before; it either doesn't show up or the error comes up).

The thing is...I thought my old sound card wasn't working anymore so I bought this one.

Any tips for me? I'm running my PC on WinXP Service Pack3 with the latest AP 192 drivers installed.

I'd be very grateful if you could help me.

Cheers,

Tal

Does no one have an idea? :(

I think it isn't the soundcard as my old one doesn't work either ("not enough resources", Code12). Might it be due to a driver problem??

Have you tried all PCI slots? You can try installing the previous driver 5057v3 (http://www.m-audio.com/index.php?do=support.drivers&f=785).

Yes, I have. The problem is there don't seem to be "enough resources" for the sound card. I've tried so many things and I can't fix the problem...

Try disabling your built-in audio, Ethernet, and Wireless controllers and see if that will free up some resources.

That didn't do it either. I'm asking myself if I should repair WinXP (don't want to do a fresh install)...

Do you have any other PCI cards installed? Were you getting this same error message with your old sound card?

As I already wrote above my old card stopped showing up in the device manager. After reinstalling chipset driver I got error code 12 ("not enough resources).
The Delta AP192 is not recognized either or I get error code 10 "device cannot be started". I got it to work once, but then it disappeared from the device manager again.

I did some quick searching on that Error Code 12 and it sounds like there could be an IRQ conflict. Perhaps some settings got changed when you reset the BIOS. One suggestion was to check the BIOS and make sure plug and play is enabled.
