Approaching 9 years with my Delta 66/Omni and it's been problem free with the exception of a crackly headphone output on the second headphone output. I haven't recorded any external audio for a while and have updated to Win XP SP3 in the meanwhile (several months ago). The output works just fine on the unit but I can't for the life of me get a signal registering in the computer. The signal shows up on the Omni but that's as far as it goes, as neither the Delta mixer nor any music application registers an incoming signal. After discovering this problem I hooked up my Audio Kontrol 1 and can get an input signal from that just fine.

I first tried uninstalling from the device manager and auto reinstalling on reboot. This was giving me a couple of errors -- turns out I didn't have the latest service pack 3 driver.

I downloaded and installed the latest Win XP SP3 driver (5069v3 -- which shows up as the active driver on the 'about' tab on the delta control panel) and installed it. The installation went smoothly. Still no input.

I've checked the connecting cables and tried just about everything short of reseating the card. As the output works just I'm assuming the card and connections are fine.

Any ideas? I'm kind of doubting that something has failed in the cable or card because of the many upgrades I've done over the last 6 months while not recording any sound.

I've having the same problem: http://forums.m-audio.com/showthread.php?t=5444

Connections are all fine, I've tried reseating the card, that hasn't helped, so I'm thinking it's likely a compatibility issue with SP3. Really hoping the tech staff come up with a fix soon.

Make sure the buttons on the back (for To Ins 1,2 and 3,4) are in the OUT position. When pushed in the aux inputs on the back override the front inputs to the computer. The Delta 66/omni works fine for us on XP SP3 with the 5069 (and 5057v3) driver.

Doh! I'd only be checking the effects return button but had been missing the Line Input button as it's fairly close to the breakout cable when blindly finger checking. That did the trick, thanks JA.
