Make/Model: Gateway MX6710 laptop
Operating System: XP SP2
Processor: T2300 Dual Core
RAM: 2GB
Video Card: ATX X1400
M-Audio Devices & Driver Versions: Fast Track USB/Driver 5.10.00.5114.v4
My Fast Track USB came with Session version 1.0.1. Using your support website, I downloaded the updater for 1.6.3. The updater ran without any errors, but now when I try to start Session, I get the error dialog, "This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect." I've tried an install from scratch, and I get the same error. Looking at the Windows System Event Log, there are events logged with these messages:
Dependent Assembly Microsoft.VC80.CRT could not be found and Last Error was The referenced assembly is not installed on your system.
Resolve Partial Assembly failed for Microsoft.VC80.CRT. Reference error message: The referenced assembly is not installed on your system
Searching the web, I came across the " Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package" as a possible solution, but after installing it, I still get this same error. I would really like to be able to run this upgrade of Session, because my 1.0.1 version crashes frequently. Can someone please provide some assistance?
Thanks in advance
