I have my 1010lt installed in an old Dell running XPSP2 with a 3GHz Pentium 4 and 1 GB ram. I'm using it with Mixcraft 4 to record into RCA inputs 3/4 (I think), from a digital piano. I have output going out on outputs 1/2 (if I remember right). I don't think I have any IRQL conflicts. I've spent hours configured the 1010lt buffer size and sampling rate and I either get garbling or too much latency. Thoughts?
Thanks,
Mark McCormick
Have you tried moving the 1010lt to different PCI slots? Have you tried disabling any devices not essential for recording? Check out this PCI Troubleshooting Guide: http://www.m-audio.com/index.php?do=support.faq&ID=786ec8d75b137d3466b1e725531a59cc

I have now optimized my system, shutting off all auto-run applications and all non-Microsoft services. I have shut off the network card (what else should I look at shutting off?). I have experimented with switching PCI slots. The sound quality has improved substantially, but I still get occasional pops/crackles (about one every 30 seconds or so). Thoughts?
In addition to the Ethernet controller, Wireless, modem, and built-in audio can interfere. Do you have any PCI power management options enabled in your BIOS? If so, turn it off.
Does adjusting the buffer size have any effect?
