I just got my Delta 66 and can't seem to get the SPDIF to work. I have a feed coming from my DAT but no matter what config I set on the M-Aduio Mixer/patch bay I get nothing. Is there some sort of syncing I have to do? How do I determine Pro or consumer?
What’s the right config for this?
I have analog audio working fine.

I read the manual and dont understand what this means.
1. The default setting, “WavOut S/PDIF,” connects the S/PDIF Out port to
your music software or Windows multimedia applet. In other words, when
music software plays audio to the device named “WavOut S/PDIF Delta-
66” it will be routed directly to the hardware S/PDIF output on your Delta
66’s PCI host card.
Do I have to patch from the 1/4' outs to the 1/4' ins to montior the SPDIF?
In order to receive a digital input, you must set the the Delta card for external S/PDIF sync by selecting "S/PDIF In" in the Master Clock section of the Hardware Settings tab. To monitor this via the 1/4" outputs 1 and 2, go to the Patchbay/Router and select "Monitor Mixer" for H/W Out 1/2. Go to the Monitor Mixer tab and turn up the level for the S/PDIF input. The Monitor mixer allows you to monitor all hardware inputs and software returns.

Thanks for the reply but unfortunately that did not work. With the settings described I do however get a hiss through the left monitor input, which is also visible via the meter, but no audio or no meter movement. I do have audio playing and I have verified connection to the coaxial output of my DAT player. Panasonic SV-3800. When I switch from internal clock to the external SPDIF that hiss goes away.
