Problems installing on intel-mac 10.5.4

After installing the latest mac drivers 2.0.8, restarting, i get this when opening the control panel app:

"You cannot open M-Audio Delta preferences because it doesn't work on an Intel-based Mac."


and when trying to un-install via the .dgm i get this - even after repairing driver permissions:

"That operation failed due to error 5364."

I got the same thing as well. I had a fresh install of 10.5.4 and used the installer from the CD. After the reboot, I got the same error in the 'sys prefs' and when I went to uninstall. Then I reinstalled but when down to 10.5.1 (since it was listed under the 'downloads' section for the card, in my case the audiophile 192) and used the 2.0.8 drivers, rebooted, and whatta ya know...it did the same thing!!?? What gives!? This says it's Mac supported but not "Intel-Mac"...?? Not a happy camper right now... :mad:

EXACTLY the same thing here. Everything you mentioned but I'm on 10.5.6. is there a fix coming soon?

From what I heard and researched, no their isn't. They have a petition now for the Intel drivers but it's been going for like 9 months now so I wouldn't count on it.

I'm pretty pissed about this so I decided to say screw it and I'm going to return the card. PPC support for now...no Intel support. I had high hoped for this but oh well...live and learn.

I guess I should have been more skeptical when I saw the Mac logo but didn't see the Universal Binary logo next to it.

Well my card is ancient so I'm stuck with it but what's the next best solution? I am in a interesting situation. I just need PT for tracking and editing vocals. And not in my studio in major studios so for me this PT is just a tool to learn on at home. So I just need an interface to make it work. Doesn't matter really what it sounds like. I'm thinking that little $99 USB thing.
