Hi
I have read the FAQ and Knowledge Base entries on IRQ/PCI troubleshooting, buy have not found a solution to my problem:
I have a Delta 66 PCI card that has been working fine for months on my WinXP PC. I have not added/removed any devices, but one day my audio just stopped working and I noticed that XP reported a "problem" with the Delta card in the Device Manager. For the life of me I can't think what had changed since the previous day - I vaguely remember confirming a Norton Protection Centre update, but I doubt whether that could have caused the card to stop working.
I then tried various remedies, including getting the latest Delta driver (Delta_V32_5.10.00.5069v3), moving the card to another PCI slot, uninstalling/unplugging/re-installing, etc., but all I succeeded in doing was to make XP not recognize the card *at all*. And that is the current state: I can't get XP to even *see* the card.
I disabled my Intel 965LT mobo's onboard audio when I installed the card for the first time, but I also now tried to disable some other devices, but to no avail. The card is now back in its original PCI slot, but still XP doesn't see it.
Any ideas?
System:
- Intel 965LT mobo, dual core 2.4GHz, 2G ram
- Windows XP Home SP3
