Thanks for taking the time to read this.

I have the following problem using the latest audiophile 192 driver (Delta_V32_5.10.00.5069v3) under windows Xp / service pack 3 and Emagic logic 5.5.

The sample rate, refuses to change to anything above 44.1 khz, while running the emagic logic 5.5. With the previous driver (Delta_WDM_5.10.00.5057v3) that wasn't a problem. It was possible to change through logic or even lock the rate before opening the application.

I know the application (logic 5.5) is a little bit outdated, but it is a beloved one, so if it is possible to give any advise, i 'll be more than happy.
Or at least somehow, address the addition of the sample rate lock to the M-audio programmers. The latest driver has some very interesting and important routing capabilities, which wasn't possible with the previous drivers/ mixer, making it impossible to switch back to an older version.

With appreciation and respect,

Nikolas :)

It sounds like something is locking the sample rate at 44.1. Go to Start>Run and type: msconfig; disable all startup items, and non-microsoft services, restart, then test.

What specific routing capabilities in the new driver are you using?

Dear JA, first of all, thank you for your fast reply.

Actually i made a clean installation (after a format) of both, the driver and the logic 5.5. So the windows are totally free of any mysterious services. I think that is a matter of the driver itself than the program, because the previous version was working under much tougher conditions (myriads of programs on my computer) . The sample rate lock, option is essential.
Actually i am hearing the card efforts to change (when i choose for a different sample rate from logic), but it seems that there is somekind of incompatibility between the program and the driver.

Now about the routing capabilities i am using software and hardware approaches. Especially i am shifting between modes (1/2 out, spdif ....) over the 1/2 software return, and the spdif output - input.

Thank you again and i hope for a future driver update, with a lock sample rate option (...on the previous driver it was possible to get a realtime upsampling with the locking option - by selecting for instance 96 khz, and playing a soundfile of 44.1 khz).

Dear Nikolas:
I hate to tell you but the culprit lays on the service pack 3.
Logic 5 and xp service pack 3 cannot co-exist together.
Service pack 2 is just fine.
