Model Apple Mac G4 Quicksilver
Processor Dual 800 MHz
Memory 1.5 Gbytes
Card Delta 1010LT:mad:
OS Mac OSX Tiger 10.4.11

I have installed an reinstalled the Delta 2.0.8 driver for the Delta 1010LT card in my computer many times. However, each time I start up, it comes up with an alert that says No Delta PCI hardware found! The card is there and the driver shows up as a Preference Pane in System Preferences and loads at start up. I am also able to play sound though the card when I choose it as the output in Sound Preference. I have tried everything: Used the uninstaller to uninstall and and then reinstall. I have fixed Disk Permissions. I have cleaned and cleared all the cache using Onyx. I have also optimized using DisWarrior and checked all the files. I have removed all potential application enhancer haxies. I have also reapplied the OSX Tiger 10.4.11 Combo Update!

None of the above has worked!. The alert still appears!

The card is installed in the first PCI slot after the AGP slot.

I'm getting the same thing in Leo 10.5.6 with the Delta 2496 card. Wondering if I have to buy a USB box? Did you solve it?

Have you tested the card in different PCI slots? Can you test the card in a different computer to see if the problem may be the card?

Yes. I have tried it on different slots. The results are the same. I had an old Delta 2496 PCI Sound Card. I used the Deinstaller to deinstall the driver. Then restarted. I then installed the latest Delta 2.0.8. driver and update. I then installed both the Delta 1010LT in the first slot after AGP Graphics Card, and the Delta 2496 in the next slot to the Delta 1010LT. When I restarted, it is the same story. The alert appeared on the screen. When I opened the System Preferences, I saw the Delta Sound Panel. I clicked on and it showed that there were two cards installed. The sound that came out of the Delta 1010LT deteriorated after some time. Since then, I did the whole process again and started with just the Delta 1010LT card. It is there but the alert appeared again!

I get an error when I try to uninstall the drivers so I just threw the icon in the trash. And I did all those steps and it's not working. This care has worked for me in about a thousand PC's. Over the last 10 years. But I don't even have it in the list in sounds. nothing. So I'm thinking I might have to go buy another interface. At least if it doesn't work I can take it back.

ramiah, do you get this error message as soon as the OS loads? Or only when trying to access the Delta Control Panel from System Preferences?

Did your computer come with a Dual G4 800MHz processor or has it been upgraded?

The error message appears after everything has loaded and the desktop, menubar and all the folders on the desktop have appeared. The computer is originally Dual G4 800 Mhz and not an upgrade!

It sounds like the problem may be with the 1010lt. If you test with just the 24/96, do you get the same problems?

I have since then done an archive and install of Tiger 10.4 and have updated all the System files to 10.4.11. I fixed permissions, I removed both cards. Installed Delta 2.0.8 for OSX. Installed the Delta 2496 and then restarted. The same alert appears!

When and where did you purchase the cards? I would suggest testing them in a different computer to see if the cards are defective.
