The message "upgrading firmware, this process will take about two minutes" never ends, and there's a guid: D6C04101D9FF1

Please add your system specs to your signature as outlined in this thread (http://forums.m-audio.com/showthread.php?t=15). This will provide vital information for troubleshooting your issue.

I'm not sure what's going on, but the latest driver for the 1814 (1.8.4-3) is a mess, and has delayed my mix projects for two weeks now. I really "appreciate" how every response from m-audio on the forums regarding this issue defaults to "please add your system specs" instead of addressing the issue. Thanks a bunch, guys, for delivering solutions... I'm ready to go back to tape and razor blades.

We understand how frustrating it can be when the studio is out of commission - we're all end users here. The reason we need the system specs is because it is the first place to start with troubleshooting. In order to identify specific issues, we have to be able to distinguish what part of the setup is failing. That is why we made sure to include several stick'd posts at the top of all of our forums to make sure you post this information as part of your signature. This is the one for FW devices. Moreover, we need to know what specific issues you're experiencing in order to address them. Most of the time it is something that the user can solve with basic troubleshooting. Here is another stick'd post for standard Mac troubleshooting (http://forums.m-audio.com/showthread.php?t=781).
drewchowen, you have my attention but I need to know what going on. It seems like you posted to this thread about a month ago. shAmii replied to you asking for additional information and we never heard back until you posted a separate thread today. Then two hours later you posted 7 more times on different threads complaining about our support. Were you working with our Tech Support team offline during the "quiet time" between posts?
