Delta 66 with sonar 7

I have sort a strange issue with my Delta 66, and I'm curious to know if anyone else has seen this before.

Sometimes when I open up Sonar 7 PE, it seems the playback sample rate has issues with any other software. To be more clear, if I open up sonar, everything in sonar is fine, but playing music from media player or itunes plays at half speed. To get everything back to normal, I have to close sonar and all other applications that play audio, then change the sample rate in the delta 66 control panel, then everything plays normal again.

This only started when I installed my delta 66. not sure if this made sense or not. I think if you have experienced the same issue, it will make sense. Any ideas?

What operating system and driver version are you running? What driver mode are you running in Sonar? ASIO? WDM/KS? What sample rate are you running in Sonar?

you know what. I found out that when I updated to sp3, I never updated the driver. I think this may have been the issue.

I would recommend sticking with the 5057v3 driver for SP2, this driver should work just fine on SP3. You could try uninstalling/reinstalling that driver.

why the recommendation? I haven't used the new driver much yet, but my first impression is that the interface is much cuter, and I haven't seen the sample rate issue since updating.

Are there other issues that may pop up?

If it's working fine for you, then stick with it. There are some bugs with direct monitoring of inputs (e.g. monitoring inputs 3/4 through outputs 3/4 doesn't work properly).
