I'm running Vista 32, Home Studio with a Delta 1010LT, I just had a few questions.

1. After I record a guitar track and pan it to the left or right, on playback the sound is just as loud (if not louder) than the input...this makes recording additional tracks a little difficult and I've had to adjust the decibel levels on these individual panned tracks to compensate. Is there a way to lower the volume of the output while keeping the input volume as I'm playing along the same? Shouldn't the panned tracks naturally be lower in volume in playback? With my old soundcard this happened anyway...

2. What drivers are the best? I have ASIO and the drivers that came with the soundcard available - is one set better than the other?

3. In the documentation for my 1010LT it includes a series of demonstrations on how to set up audio for recording...including changing patchbay/router settings, etc. I'm running Vista 32 and the driver software I downloaded from the M-Audio site didn't include these options, it's a much simpler program than the one found in the documentation. Is there other software available (or that I need) to control things like output volume, etc.?

Thanks for your help!

1. If playback is louder than the direct monitor signal, you can adjust the volume of your tracks from your recording application. You can also turn down the software return levels in the Delta monitor mixer to turn down all playback from your software.

2. You should be using the M-Audio Delta ASIO driver.
