Is the 2496 fixed at -10db output level only??
I tracked drums for the first time using a Berhinger 1204. Its output is +4db.
So heres my problem.....
Faders at unity zero on mixer
Using a condensor mic
Without even touching the trim knob for the preamp I am already getting extremely high levels on my Sonar meters. clipping for sure.
My only work around was to get the preamp at least feeding a signal and then drop my channel faders on the mixer way down to make sure I got a Sonar track level of about -16 to -18dbfs.
Obviously, I shouldnt have to move the faders for tracking. Which makes me think the 2496 is a set -10db output.
Any ideas???
