Hi
I've used the Audiophile 2496 for about a year with no problems (in Windows XP SP3). A friend told me there was a driver update for it on the M Audio site (update of 27 Jun 08 File name: Delta V3s 5.10.00.5069v3.exe). When I downloaded and ran this file, there was a prompt screen offering the choices 'Modify', 'Repair' or 'Remove'. Modify and Repair seemed to be blocked (wouldn't accept a check mark), so I checked 'Remove', thinking that must be the only suitable option for my set-up. However, all it did was actually remove the 2496 from my hardware list, and I had to do a System Restore back 24 hours to get sound back (which gave me other problems I won't go into here). What did I do wrong? Thanks.
