Hello! I am having a really big problem recording with my card and have tried pretty much everything I have read. Here is what I am working with:
Self-built PC
Delta 1010lt (Currently with latest driver)
XP SP3
Gigabyte P35 DS3L motherboard
Core 2 Quad q6600
4gb ram
My problem is that I have a static distortion that appears on a recorded track just randomly. I do not hear it monitoring while the track is being recorded, but when I play it back it sounds completely distorted. Most of the time, I record my tracks and have no problems. This static just seems to get recorded on a track without notice at random times and is really frustrating to deal with while tracking.
I have tried different drivers, switched many settings (buffer, PCI latency, ect.), disabled onboard audio, moved my 1010lt to different PCI slots, and tried reinstalling it again and again with no change. It happens regardless of the recorded quality of the audio (16/24, 44.1/48) and regardless of the input (analog/digital). My card was originally sharing IRQs with a few USB ports. I went through the steps to get it assigned to its own physical IRQ and the problem failed to go away. It has no conflicts now but the problem continues! I am running out of ideas of what this could be and have searched desperately to see what this problem could be! Could it be my processor? My board? My video card?
I would be grateful for any help you can give me!
Thanks!
