Hi there,

my problem with the crackle sound mostly comes from the basses and only on the right canal. It is solved when i´m using the Delta_WDM_5.10.00.0048a on XP and works well but the newest 5.10.00.5069v3 causes in the descripted problems, all other possible drivers i tested too.

I am now testing Windows 7 and want to change to it finally but the only working driver 5.10.00.5069v3 causes in the descripted problems. I tested the sound card on this and on another PC with different components and different OS´s but same crackle sound on right canal everytime.

Maybe useful: When i install a fresh OS and then install the 5069 driver it works without crackles for few hours but then same problems.

I hope someone can help because i found nothing helpful for my problem. If further Systeminformation or anything else needed i will post.

thanks in advance

If the device works with the 5069 driver after a fresh install of the OS, and then develops the problem over time; it sounds like an IRQ/resource issue. If reverting to an earlier driver fixes the problem, it sounds like the hardware is fine. Have you tested with the 5057v3 driver (http://www.m-audio.com/index.php?do=support.drivers&f=785) on SP3?

Uninstall the drivers, then go to C:\Windows\System 32 and delete the DeltaII.cpl & deltaIICoIn.dll files; shut down and remove the PCI card. Install the 5057v3 driver, then shut down and re-install the PCI card. Do you have the same crackle problem?
