I'm currently getting a small delay at the beginning of every soundclip and a crackling sound few seconds after the clip has ended.
The Delay:
If I try to play an mp3(spotify/itunes/winamp) the mp3 starts but I cant hear anything for about a second. If I pause the song and scroll it to the middle of the song and press play it does it again. Plays the song but I cant hear anything from output for a second or so. This happens everywhere, even when im browsing the web my "mouseclicks.wav" cant be heard because it happens to be shorter than a second.
The Crackling Sound:
This happens every time any audioclip stops playing(mp3, wav, gamesounds, movies). Sounds very much like the soundcard stops sending signals trough the output and loudspeakers go back to their default position.
It very much seems like the soundcard is going on a standby mode whenever it can and then when I try to play something, it wakes up and I get a delay.
My system is in a good condition and its somewhat fast. I just changed my soundcard to M-Audio 1010LT and this is when these problems occured. The same M-Audio 1010LT was used in another computer which was running on Windows XP. It worked fine with Windows XP.
