1010lt installation problems

I have been going crazy trying to get my Delta 1010lt installed. I have installed the Windows vista 64 driver but in the maudio control panel it shows nothing under the pci card. i tried a manual install of the driver and it gave me a code 10 error saying there were problems starting the device. I then looked at the IRQ and it is appearing in problem devices and it says this device cannot start. Please any help would be appreciated.

Try placing the card in a different PCI slot, if you have one open.

thnks. I unfortunately don't have another slot. I'm able to install it on a computer with XP with no problem. There are actually some other different problems on that XP computer though. I get a loud piercing high pitch squeel. I am concerned that the item is somehow damaged so was trying it on a new computer, but I figured it would at least be able to install like on my XP computer.
