I recently upgraded my OS to Win XP SP3 and am trying to re-gain some lost functionality. (Nvidia NForce2 platform, Athlon 3200+, 1g RAM)

Deltra Diver: 5.10.0.5096

For late-night practice I play guitar through a Vamp2 into the Audiophile 24/96.

Within Windows I have selected my onboard as the default playback device, and AP 1/2 as the default input.

When I play, I hear nothing through the computer speakers. But, if I record with sound recorder and play that back, I have sound.

If I choose the onboard as the default input and output, and connect the Vamp2 to the line-in - I can use my computer as a practice amp and hear everything I play without having to record.

Is it possible to connect the Vamp2 to the 24/96 and hear it playback through the onboard card and PC speakers without having to connect my PC speakers to the the 24/96?

For recording I go through Cubase, but I haven't tried that yet with the new Windows install.

You need software capable of routing sound from the 24/96 to your built-in output; Windows will not do this automatically. Why do you want to do this? If you can get it to work, there is going to be a lot of latency. You can directly monitor your input through the 24/96.
