Delta 2496 Control Panel doesn`t open

Hi,
I am running a PC WinXP Sp3 with 2Gb Ram with 3 HD SATA disks, Mobo Abit and Processor Mobile 3.2 Ghz.

I can`t open the Delta 2496 Control Panel by clicking on the Delta tray icon.Everything works fine except opening the Delta control panel.

Another issue comes whenever I uninstall the driver to re-install a new one the Delta tray icon doesn`t disappears.Is it normal? Why the uninstall procedure doesn`t clean the Delta tray?

Does the Delta control panel launch from the Windows Control Panel?

There is an issue with the uninstaller leaving a couple files behind; go to C:\Windows\System 32 and delete the DeltaII.cpl & deltaIICoIn.dll files.

Since you're on XP, I would suggest removing the current driver and files mentioned above, then install the previous driver (5057v3): http://www.m-audio.com/index.php?do=support.drivers&f=785

The Delta control panel doesn`t launch from the Windows Control Panel either. I think I will install the previous driver you seggested.

if it doesn't open but appears in taskbar - right click on it (in the taskbar, not the icon in the system tray) and click on "Move". Then, use the arrow keys on your keyboard to drag it from wherever it is, into view.

Worked for me (Win7 64bit)
