I figured out my initial problem was service pack 3 i uninstalled it. Im really amazed at how clear this thing is for the money I payed you can't beat it, now my problem is this. When I use the session software Im not able to hear just one instrument. What ever pick to play also comes out with the piano. What im i doing wrong.

If you're referring to triggering one of the virtual instruments in Session, what type of controller keyboard are you using to trigger these sounds?

Im using the m-audio 49 keystation. To explain it the best. You know when you start the session software the piano is the default sound, and can be heard without picking an instrument from the software, when you push keys on the keyboard. Now the thing is that when I pick add track and chose an instrument from the browser and play the keys on the m-audio keyboard I hear both the piano and the instrument I chose. Shouldn't I hear just the instrument I chose and not both.

Hope you can help. I love this thing and can't wait to use it to its full potential.

Go into Session's MIDI Settings and make sure the MIDI Output is assigned to no output. If it's assigned to the Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth, that's where the piano sound is coming from.

Thanks for helping out Thats all it took. See what happens when your a newbie. Now all I need is to be able to download the latest drivers and Im all good. Im registered but I still can't download the 1.63 drivers. But im sure you guys will fix that soon. Once again thanks for the help. So far I love my keyboard :)

You need to register a Session product in order to download the 1.6.3 update; currently only the Keystation 49 has been registered. Please visit www.m-audio.com/register and register Session; afterward you will be able to download the update.
