I've just installed Windows 7 Professional 64 final an installed the Vista 64bit-Version of the latest Delta-Drivers without any Problems. My 2496 runs just fine for me therefore I wait for the final W7-Drivers.

Same here! BUT i have a little problem....windows cannot shut down when the driver is installed. It simply freezes at the shut down screen. i have to manually press the power switch. Besides that, everything looks fine. I have a 2496 with windows 7 ultimate x64 and i've installed the 64bit vista sp2 drivers with the corresponding compatibility mode. Anyone any suggestions till the official drivers come out?
wertigo, here is a .bat file you have to creat to fix the shutdown issue. This is from another very astute user here, not me:
1) Create a .bat file (create txt file and change extention to .bat)
2) Right Click on file > "edit" and enter following info:
net stop "Audiosrv"
net stop "AudioEndpointBuilder"
3) Save file as "Audio stop"(or whatever you want) to your main drive ie: C:\Audio stop
4) Open "run" from start menu and enter "gpedit.msc" (without quotes) and hit "OK"
5) Now navigate from right pain of window "User Configuration" > "Windows Settings" > "scripts (Logon/Logoff)" > "Logoff"
6) From window that opens from clicking "Logoff" Click "Add" then browse to where you saved "Audio Stop.bat" earlier and double click on it.
7) Hit "Apply" and close.
You are done
Windows 7 will now Automatically stop the Audio services when Shutting Down or Restarting allowing system to complete the process.
Thank You very very much, it worked perfectly with a minimal modification. I had to add the file to the Computer Configuration section too.
It doesn't work in Seven Home because gpedit.msc is not available in Home.
So how do we do this fix if we only have the home premium version of Windows 7 and no access to gpedit.msc?
Can you record and test if that works well for me too. Close and re open the project a few times...
