    Dear M-Audio Community,

We apologize for the delay in providing information regarding the release of our updated MIDI drivers. Development on these drivers is progressing well and we hope to have them in test qualification as early as this month. After passing test qualification cycle the drivers will then be released to this forum as public beta. While we cannot provide release dates or ETA's, we plan to follow up within 30 days with additional information about the progress of this driver development.

With W7 about to start nagging me to buy a retail copy (at which point of course I'll be installing 64 bit) you just made my day. If they're here by march 1st, you'll surely be my hero

I appreciate the update but sorry if I don't jump for joy. This should have been done a loooong time ago. I'll believe it when I can download "working Win7 x64" drivers for my Midisport 8x8 "blue and green".

Good job (forum) people for expressing your feelings publicly. It finally hit them.

Dixie_flatline, they won't be here by March 1st. I hate to burst your bubble but it's very unlikely we'll be ready for public beta by then.

Kevin, Tech-dance and the rest, we've been working on these and many other driver projects for some time now but we've not done a good job communicating with you. I hope to improve this and ask only for your continued patience as we work to deliver these updates.

We'll probably all be old and grey by the time these drivers arrive!

I hope that's not much past March 1st, frankly I'm sick of waiting.
