Default The DELTA 1010LT Windows 7 Drivers

I was wondering if anyone at M-Audio can give us a hint at all as of whether or not an update to the Delta drivers is really going to happen. I saw the post over a month ago to subscribe to the thread to get updates but nothing has risen up at all. Are there going to be new drivers that hopefully can fix this horrible crackling problem with my 1010LT? I've tried every fix that anyone has posted for Windows 7 64 bit, and my system specs are far greater than needed to run my recordings well. I never had this problem until I upgraded to Windows 7, and I can't put XP on another partition until I get another hard drive to back things up on. Is there any hope for us dedicated Delta customers?

Welcome to the evergrowing...."hanging on bunch"....With the upcoming release of 'something wicked' by m-audio we might never get an answer as they have to address all the fixes to the new gear. It might be worth the wait, though, as they may give us an incredible update for all our delta gear. Great stuff....but not if you can't use it.

I've been trying to get a solid answer on an update timeframe, but have been unable to do so yet. Right now there are multiple issues that are under revision, but that's all I know.

I know just as well as anyone else what the problems are, and I know the response has been less than great, but when I get new/better info, I'll do my best to pass it along to the users here.

Thanks for the replies. I'm hoping for an update so bad. I want to continue using M-Audio because the products have always surpassed my needs and expectations. It would be a shame if I had to go another route just because of not getting enough info. I'll wait it out a while more and see what happens.

I bought my first 1010lt in 2001. It wouldn't be much of a surprise if a 9 year old piece of hardware were made obsolete by a new operating system, but the thing is that they still sell the 1010lt and it is still in production. If I had bought it today and found out that the drivers were this bad I would probably return the card right away.

Almost half of the sales of windows 7 is 64-bit today.

Good thing I found this thread. I was at the final stage of checkout with the 1010lt in my cart. Windows 7 64 bit is a requirement for me. I'd still get it if there was official word from M-Audio on this with a date, but without that I have to rule it out.
