    Exclamation HELP!!! Axiom 25/Enigma Set-Up

I am currently with m-audio's tech support, but time is limited.
I only have til a July 18th to get this resolved. I can't exchange it
    after that.
This is my first Midi Controller, so my knowledge is limited on this
    subject.
I don't know if the problem is more enigma or more driver's or
something else on my system, but the problem does not just show in enigma.
If u can help me troubleshoot, then please, help away.

Here is the conversation with tech support:
"I installed everything as it said for my brand new Axiom 25. The CD
    and the "update"
Yet, it does not pop up or show in enigma as connected. It doesnt show
    up in fruity loops.
It doesnt even show in the Midi-OX as an option to even test.
It's like nothing has been installed.
I have uninstalled it, including my SP 3 for windows, reinstalled and
    still not recognized.
It does however when I plug it in give me the bubbles in the bottom
right that say "new hardware, axiom 25" & "installed and ready to use"
yet none of those programs are even giving me it as an option

To be more specific, in enigma for example, it does not show my axiom
is hooked up, therefore will not let upload to the axiom nor does it
    have the blank for it.
Maybe I'm just missing something basic in setting this up.

Product:Axiom 25 Problem Area: Not Recognized
    Driver Version:` CPU Speed: Pentium R 3.00ghz
Platform: Windows XP Home SP 2 RAM: 2GB
    System Type: Desktop"

    Their reply
    "Michael,
Do you have other usb devices connected to the computer? Please make
sure that you are connecting the Axiom straight into the computer and
    not using a usb hub.
    Also,
Please copy and paste a list of your IRQ settings into your response.
    PLEASE do not send attachments.
    START > RUN > type: msinfo32 > OK > HARDWARE RESOURCES > IRQs
EDIT > COPY > paste it into the body of your response.
This will help us in further troubleshooting your issue."

    Here's my reply:
    "IRQ 0 System timer OK
IRQ 4 Communications Port (COM1) OK
IRQ 8 System CMOS/real time clock OK
IRQ 9 Microsoft ACPI-Compliant System OK
    IRQ 10 Intel(R) 82801FB/FBM SMBus Controller - 266A OK
IRQ 13 Numeric data processor OK
IRQ 14 Primary IDE Channel OK
IRQ 16 Intel(R) 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Family OK

    IRQ 17 Intel(R) 82801FB/FBM PCI Express Root Port - 2662 OK
    IRQ 18 Intel(R) 82801FB/FBM USB Universal Host Controller - 265A OK
    IRQ 18 M-Audio Delta AP192 OK
IRQ 20 Intel(R) PRO/100 VE Network Connection OK
    IRQ 20 Intel(R) 82801FB Ultra ATA Storage Controllers - 2651 OK
    IRQ 21 Intel(R) 82801FB/FBM USB Universal Host Controller - 2658 OK
    IRQ 21 Intel(R) 82801FB/FBM USB2 Enhanced Host Controller - 265C OK
    IRQ 22 Intel(R) 82801FB/FBM USB Universal Host Controller - 2659 OK
    IRQ 23 Intel(R) 82801FB/FBM USB Universal Host Controller - 265B OK

I do not own a USB hub. i have 6 usb ports, 2 in the front and 4 in
    the back
I have tried both in the front and one or two in the back.
My pc bleeps and says "new hardware found, axiom 25" etc, but it
doesnt show it in enigma, fruity loops, or in midi ox(to test it).
It does show my other sound device/card, the Delta AP192."

    Any ideas?

What version of Enigma do you have? I would suggest trying every USB port on the computer.

Can you please provide more information about your system as requested in this thread; that information along with specific things you've tried and details about the problem will help us figure out what's going on.

    Unhappy

Hi, I have the same problem.
I bought the Axiom25 today, arrived home and did the following:

    1) installed the driver (later I read that was not really necessary)
    2) turned on the Axiom25
    3) Windows said : "Your hardware is ready to use" or something like that
    4) Open FL Studio: MIDI settings: Axiom is not there

I checked the device manager under Sound, video and game controllers
and it is there: USB Audio Device: Location 0 (USB Axiom 25)

MIDI-OX says: "There are no MIDI input devices"

I tried all USB ports in the system (I am not using a hub), and also disabled the power managment features for them.

After that I tried unistalling the driver, resetting and enabling/disabling "MIDI out" on the Axiom25, then again reinstalling the driver and nothing works

    My Hardware:
    • WinXP SP2
    • Intel Core Duo 2.66Ghz
    • 2GB RAM
    M-Audio Devices & Driver Versions:
    • Axiom 25 (nothing else) -- MA_CMIDI_WDM_4.2.03v4.exe
The IRQ settings in the PC:
    IRQ 0 System timer OK
IRQ 3 Communications Port (COM2) OK
IRQ 4 Communications Port (COM1) OK
IRQ 8 System CMOS/real time clock OK
IRQ 9 Microsoft ACPI-Compliant System OK
    IRQ 10 Intel(R) ICH9 Family SMBus Controller - 2930 OK
IRQ 13 Numeric data processor OK
IRQ 16 Intel(R) G33/G31/P35 Express Chipset PCI Express Root Port - 29C1 OK
IRQ 16 NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GTS OK
IRQ 16 Intel(R) Management Engine Interface OK
    IRQ 17 Intel(R) ICH9 Family USB Universal Host Controller - 2939 OK
    IRQ 17 Intel(R) ICH9 Family USB2 Enhanced Host Controller - 293C OK
    IRQ 17 Intel(R) ICH9 Family PCI Express Root Port 1 - 2940 OK
IRQ 17 Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE Controller OK
    IRQ 17 Intel(R) ICH9 Family PCI Express Root Port 5 - 2948 OK
    IRQ 18 Intel(R) ICH9 Family USB Universal Host Controller - 2937 OK
    IRQ 18 Intel(R) ICH9 Family PCI Express Root Port 3 - 2944 OK
    IRQ 18 Intel(R) ICH9 Family USB Universal Host Controller - 2936 OK
    IRQ 19 Intel(R) ICH9 Family PCI Express Root Port 4 - 2946 OK
    IRQ 19 Intel(R) ICH9 Family USB Universal Host Controller - 2935 OK
IRQ 19 Texas Instruments OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller OK
    IRQ 20 Intel(R) ICH9 Family PCI Express Root Port 2 - 2942 OK
    IRQ 21 Intel(R) ICH9 Family USB Universal Host Controller - 2938 OK
    IRQ 21 Intel(R) ICH9 4 port Serial ATA Storage Controller 1 - 2920 OK
    IRQ 21 Intel(R) ICH9 2 port Serial ATA Storage Controller 2 - 2926 OK
IRQ 22 Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio OK
    IRQ 23 Intel(R) ICH9 Family USB Universal Host Controller - 2934 OK
    IRQ 23 Intel(R) ICH9 Family USB2 Enhanced Host Controller - 293A OK

BTW, My line6 LinePort IS shown as a midi device if I connect it.
I kept it disconnected while I figure out why the keyboard does not work.

    Default

ill help out since i just went through this today and got it running after 5 hours.

its basically a bit of a screwup from both maudio and windows

maudio -> drivers are not signed
windows -> even after choosing to use unsigned drivers, will automatically choose other signed drivers

    so

    1) install maudio midi 2 drivers
    2) plug in axiom 25
    3) open DEVICE MANAGER
    4) expand SOUND, VIDEO, .... CONTROLLERS
    5) right click USB AUDIO DEVICE -> PROPERTIES
    6) go to DRIVER tab
    7) click UPDATE DRIVER
    8) choose INSTALL FROM A SPECIFIC LOCATION
    9) choose DONT SEARCH I WILL CHOOSE .....
    10) choose HAVE DISK
    11) BROWSE
    12) go to where the maudio drivers got installed
most likely C:\Program Files\M-Audio\M-Audio Series II MIDI

after that in the device manager, usb audio device will disappear and it will be replaced by Axiom 25 USB Driver, Axiom 25 USB midi driver

things should be good to go.

Hi, I hate to dig up an old thread but I am also having this problem now. I tried this fix and under the Axiom 25 USB MIDI Driver it says :
No drivers are installed for this device.

If you are having problems with this device, click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter.

Whereas Axiom 25 USB drier says it is working properly. Any advice or fix to this problem? I did search and this seems like the best thread for help. Here is my info:
    Make/Model: Intel Pentium 4 CPU
Operating System: XP home SP 3
    Processor: 3.2 ghz
    RAM: 512 MB
M-Audio Devices & Driver Versions: Installed the only driver on the axiom 25 site. I bought from a friend and I have no CD.
    MA_CMIDI_WDM_4.2.03v4.exe <- installed this
and I have enigma 1.2 and am trying to make it compatible with FruityLoops Studio 8.0.
Anything else necessary I will provide
